2. Now put 115 grams of butter into a saucepan then add a couple of tablespoons of golden syrup to the butter

3. Now whilst the butter and golden syrup melt in the pan, in another bowl add1 tsp baking soda and a couple of tablespoons of hot water together. It should fizz.

4. then combine the baking soda mixture to the melted butter and golden syrup. It should turn the mixture white like sweet butter. It should be frothy

5. Pour the frothy butter onto the dry ingredients. Gently mix them together with a spatula after a while you should get crumbly cookie dough.

6. Now use your hands to make balls around the size of golf balls place them on a baking sheet. Spread your cookies out because they will expand in the oven. Flatten your cookies a little.

7. Preheat your oven to 170 degrees. Bake them for 10 to 12 minutes or until they are golden brown. Let them cool a bit on the tray and then put it on a cookie rack. Enjoy your homemade Anzac cookies!!!!
